General information about ICC
The International Camp on Communication and Computers (ICC) is an international summer school intended for youngsters with visual impairment. ICC will introduce to the young blind and partially sighted various ways to use computers to communicate, find information and have fun. During the ten day program of practical workshops and leisure time activities, youngsters have the chance to exchange their experiences.
You can find more information in the section general information or at the ICC association website http://www.icc-camp.info.
The past events
The camp was originally intended as an Austrian educational event, but it soon turned out that the camp attracted extreme attention all over Europe, the USA and Japan. A team of national coordinators was created; its members manage the participation of students from different countries. At the beginning, the Czech Republic was represented in this coordinating team by the Grammar School and Business Academy for the Blind (dr. Wanda Gonzúrová) together with Tereza – Support Centre for blind students at CVUT (Ing. Ondřej Fránek).
From 2001, the Teiresias Centre has been the Czech national coordinator of the ICC.
